2022 Walkathon - Joyce and Art Fuller
We are again participating in the Southeastern Guide Dogs 2022 Walkathon. Our dog Carter, who was released from the program and adopted by us in April 2020 will walk with us on March 5 at the Suncoast Walkathon.
With your help two years ago, we raised enough money to sponsor and name a puppy. Not only that, but we were able to raise this puppy. Allie is 18 months (as of October 4) and went in for training (IFT) on October 16. She is in college! We miss this energetic goldador so much, but are excited to see what career is chosen. We would again like to raise enough money to sponsor a puppy. Will you help us? We are well on our way between Art's bike tune-ups and Jamie's dog tugs. Although we have no puppy right now, we remain involved by being puppy sitters.
I know some people hate to donate online. Did you know you can send a check to Southeastern Guide Dogs and give the fundraiser and team names below and we will get credit? We will also be selling raffle tickets. You can even purchase them online if you want (contact me if you are interested).
If you make any donation to Southeastern Guide Dogs, please give them the following: Fundraiser Name: Joyce Fuller, Team Name: South Shore Puppy Raiser, and we will get credit and you will help us reach our goal!
Did you know that Southeastern Guide Dogs breeds, raises, and trains some of the finest guide dogs, service dogs, and skilled companion dogs in the world? The puppies are adorable, but to witness these amazing dogs in training is nothing short of miraculous. Thanks to the intelligence and fine training of these dogs, people with vision loss, veterans with disabilities, and children with significant challenges find the freedom, confidence, and independence they need.
When I learned that Southeastern Guide Dogs doesn't charge for their dogs or services, I decided to participate in their biggest fundraiser of the year - Walkathon; which consists of a series of in-person and virtual events! I've set an ambitious fundraising goal and I am excited to contribute to the life changing mission of Southeastern Guide Dogs.
