Gainesville Joins National Walkathon Day - May 1, 2021

Tioga Town Center Event - April 17

Friends of Southeastern Guide Dogs are planning a 3K walk and Waggin’ Tails Festival on April 17 at 9 am at Tioga Town Center. The event will feature a puppy kissing booth, music provided by a local DJ, and auction drawings. This fundraiser will be in compliance with health guidelines to create a safe, friendly environment for all participants.

Make a big impact for people with vision loss and veterans with disabilities, whether you raise funds or simply bring your dog to the Waggin’ Tails festival! You will still be eligible for all fundraising incentives and will have access to sponsors and vendors. To learn more about the life-changing mission of Southeastern Guide Dogs, visit

What's even better than our regular Walkathon? NATIONAL WALKATHON DAY!

We’re unleashing Walkathon and taking it to the streets - and with your help - to all 50 states in the US. How? By turning the Walkathon you know and love up a notch, via the super-sharing power of social media.

To your neighborhood. To your local park. In your way, your style, your choice. To wherever and however you want to celebrate your dog while building awareness and raising funds for Southeastern Guide Dogs.

Instead of large-event Walkathons, we’ll all join together, individually but united via the virtual power of social media. And we’ll do it in style on one big day - Saturday, May 1, 2021.

We want to see pups on parade all over the United States!
