Welcome to My Personal Page
People often ask, “How did you decide to become a puppy raiser?” After losing our family pet, our teenage daughter was lobbying for a new puppy. So she created a plan - - - that we would become "puppy raisers for the blind.” Little did we know that our lives would be changed forever. …
As many of you know, Carly tragically passed away a few short weeks before we were to receive our first guide dog puppy. She had cheerfully attended all of the puppy raising classes with us and was anxious to begin her puppy raising adventure. Despite the sadness and loss of our dear daughter, without hesitation, we knew we still wanted to fulfill her dream.
As a legacy and an honor to our youngest daughter, Carly, we can proudly say that we have continued in our mission to raise puppies for the blind. Of the puppies we have raised since Carly’s passing, 3 are assisting the visually impaired. Our 4th pup has been chosen as a breed dog for future guide dog pups! This continues to be an awesome and rewarding responsibility.
We enjoy volunteering our time as we train each puppy, and in turn we receive unconditional love and many puppy kisses in return. But most importantly, we experience the joy of knowing we have helped change the lives of other individuals who are truly in need.
We hope you will share in our compassion for this incredible nonprofit organization that helps people with vision loss, veterans with disabilities, and children with significant challenges find the freedom, confidence, and independence they need. Please help support this very important organization by contributing generously … in memory of Carly’s love for puppies and her hope to make a difference in someone’s life!
