Cheryl Poage/ Andover School District
Hello- I am a proud puppy raiser for Southeastern Guide Dogs. I am currently raising my third puppy, Chenille. I am a teacher and raise my puppies with the assistance of my students. We recently moved to Kansas and the students in our district have a goal of naming a puppy! They have been planning fundraisers and raised over $700.00 on their very first event! Will you help us reach our goal? Read more about the Southeastern mission below; we hope we can count on your support to make a difference for those who cannot see and those who have seen too much!
Did you know that Southeastern Guide Dogs breeds, raises, and trains some of the finest guide dogs, service dogs, and skilled companion dogs in the world? The puppies are adorable, but to witness these amazing dogs in training is nothing short of miraculous. Thanks to the intelligence and fine training of these dogs, people with vision loss, veterans with disabilities, and children with significant challenges find the freedom, confidence, and independence they need.
When I learned that Southeastern Guide Dogs relies 100% on private donations, receives no government funding, and doesn't charge for their dogs or services, I decided to participate in their biggest fundraiser of the year, the Walkathon. I've set an ambitious Walkathon fundraising goal and am excited to contribute to the life-changing mission of Southeastern Guide Dogs.
