Did you know that Southeastern Guide Dogs breeds, raises, and trains some of the finest guide dogs, service dogs, and skilled companion dogs in the world? The puppies are adorable, but to witness these amazing dogs in training is nothing short of miraculous.
Thanks to the intelligence and fine training of my guide, Victoria, I can lead a more independent life. I no longer walk with my head down in fear of falling. With Victoria by my side, I can confidently navigate through my days. The joy she brings is amazing. Southeastern is a top notch facility. They essentially gave me back my life, with no cost to me. How do you thank people who have given you this priceless gift? Maybe you walk in the Walkathon and ask for sponsors so that Southeastern can continue to give the gift of independence to others.
When I learned that Southeastern Guide Dogs relies 100% on private donations, receives no government funding, and doesn't charge for their dogs or services, I decided to participate in their biggest fundraiser of the year, the Walkathon. I've set an ambitious Walkathon fundraising goal and am excited to contribute to the life changing mission of Southeastern Guide Dogs.
Please join me and give a donation. No amount is too small. Working together, we can spread the joy.
If I can raise the ambitious goal of $5,000, I can name a future guide. I would love to name a dog in my mother's honor. Those of you that knew my mom, know that she was a special lady. She too, was visually impaired. I miss her everyday, and know she would have loved Victoria as much as I do. If you are able, please donate. I can personally promise you this is one donation, that will provide years of happiness and allow a visually impaired person to live their life to the fullest. Thank you.
