Team Carter and Allie Walkathon Fundraiser
Art and Joyce Fuller are still so incredibly thankful for last year's support.
We got to name a puppy due to your generosity. Not only did we get to sponsor Allie, we are raising her! She and Carter are becoming good friends.
"This puppy is named in memory of Allison "Pippi" Reimer - a superhero to the many children she led as a Girl Scout camp counselor and a loving ray of sunshine to all who knew her."
As many of you know, Carter received a medical career change in April and we adopted her in April. Allie was born 4/4/2020, and joined us in August. She is a yellow Goldador (Golden Retriever/lab mix). We are again raising money for Southeastern Guide Dogs.
Jamie Fuller is making tugs, we still have some customized signs that Devin, Robin, & Wyatt Dennis through their online woodworking company, plus Art is still doing his bike tuneup for $10.00 and donating that money to the walkathon.
In case you are not familiar with Southeastern Guide Dogs, they are an incredible organization. Southeastern Guide Dogs breeds, raises, and trains some of the finest guide dogs, service dogs, and skilled companion dogs in the world? The puppies are adorable, but to witness these amazing dogs in training is nothing short of miraculous. Thanks to the intelligence and fine training of these dogs, people with vision loss, veterans with disabilities, and children with significant challenges find the freedom, confidence, and independence they need.
When we learned that Southeastern Guide Dogs relies 100% on private donations, receives no government funding, and doesn't charge for their dogs or services, we decided to participate in their biggest fundraiser of the year, the Walkathon. I've set an ambitious Walkathon fundraising goal and am excited to contribute to the life changing mission of Southeastern Guide Dogs.
