Welcome to Hallie and Buddy's Walkathon Page!
Did you know that Southeastern Guide Dogs breeds, raises, and trains some of the finest guide dogs, service dogs, and skilled companion dogs in the world? The puppies are adorable, but to witness these amazing dogs in training is nothing short of miraculous. Thanks to the intelligence and fine training of these dogs, people with vision loss, veterans with disabilities, and children with significant challenges find the freedom, confidence, and independence they need.
When I learned that Southeastern Guide Dogs relies 100% on private donations, receives no government funding, and doesn't charge for their dogs or services, I decided to participate in their biggest fundraiser of the year, the Walkathon. I've set an ambitious Walkathon fundraising goal of $4,000.00 and am excited to contribute to the life changing mission of Southeastern Guide Dogs.
I will be attending the Tampa Walkathon on May 2, 2020, with my current pup-in-training, Golden Retriever Buddy, in tow. My goal of raising $4,000.00 by May 2 will help my group in our goal of trying to name another future superhero that will be raised in Savannah. Currently we have named Black Lab Linaugh (working guide dog), Golden Retriever Farwell (guide dog in training/breeder), Yellow Lab Doc (went in-for-training in September), and Black Lab Paulson (picked up by his puppy raisers in September). If I raise $4,000, I get to be the one to choose the name of one of our pups in 2020. My goal is to raise $4,000 and name it "Clarke", in honor of my grandmother (Granny Clarke) who recently passed. Any donation, big or small, helps to continue ensuring that those who need these dogs will receive these dogs...for free.
Thank you for helping!
