St. Petersburg Walkathon

The Florida Gulf Coast chapter of Silverliners International has been helping Southeastern Guide Dogs for 7 years.  With our successful fundraising efforts, we have been able to give a forever-name to 6 guide dog puppies, so far. As an organization made up of Flight Attendants from 50+ airlines, we naturally chose aviation related puppy names: JET, STEW, PILOT, SKY, SILVER AND AERO. We will participate in the 2021 Walkathon in St. Petersburg and hope to raise at least $5,000 so that we qualify to name another hero-in-training.

Southeastern Guide Dogs breeds, raises, and trains some of the finest guide dogs and service dogs in the world. The puppies are adorable, but to witness these amazing dogs in training is nothing short of miraculous. Thanks to the intelligence and fine training of these dogs, people with vision loss and veterans with disabilities find the freedom, confidence, and independence they need.

When Silverliners first learned that Southeastern Guide Dogs relies 100% on private donations, receives no government funding, and doesn't charge students and veterans for their services, we adopted them as our chapter charity.  We continue to participate in their biggest fundraiser of the year, the Walkathon.  Our ambitious Walkathon fundraising goal of $5,000 can happen thanks to help from our friends and family. Please help us by donating through this fundraising page.  With your help can change the world, one dog at a time.
